I am so sad right now. Michael Jackson was one of the first musicians I fell in love with. I've been a fan since I was three years old. He inspired me in so many ways. He was a legend and an incredible human being. R.I.P. Michael, you will be missed. :(

Appropriate lyrics written by Michael himself.
Like A Comet
Blazing 'Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon
Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon
Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon
Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon
Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon
Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon
Gone Too Soon

Well it sounds like he stopped tweeting for the night, so no worried about the public meltdown.
God, I feel so bad for him. I mean, I feel bad for everyone because it's affected us all, but I can see that he's really heartbroken.

My friend is gushing over the new BSB songs she found. Even when I'm telling her how bummed I am about MJ and Farrah.
It does rather irk me that people at least seem more outspoken about being upset over him than her. We may have known she was terminally ill, but that doesn't make losing her any less tragic. I realize his death was sudden and believe me I'm sad over it too, but still. To me the loss of each of them was equal. Legends in their own rights.
P.S. - Rach, tell your friend to go *insert bad work here* herself, or at least go get a heart.

RIP MJ - "How Frighteningly Few Are The Persons Whose Passing Would Spoil Our Appetite and Make the World Seem So Empty."- Eric Hoffer >
The Whole Music Industry was Changed Forever based on the Works and Influences’ of MJ
There will be some that Cannot nor Will not Accept the Positivity and Leadership and Other Changes and Inspirations that MJ instilled into the Music Industry and Established a Permanent Level of Accomplishment that All Musician Continually Strive to Achieve.
He shall Be Missed -Not Just in the Music Industry -But, Also In the Charity Work that he Gave it His All -Heart and Soul to those in need, yet never asked for or wished for any recognition for his leadership and Devotion to many causes.
He Shall be Missed and Leaves behind a Legacy that will live Forever and an Emptiness that can never be filled.
Unfortunately, There shall be some that will now resort to Exploiting and attempting to tarnish his Name and exploit the Children – My only wish is that those that think about doing such a heartless and inhumane act refrain from doing so. It is not the Children’s fault for being brought into this world – or the families or persons that raise them, and should not be exploited and hurt. They are Suffering Enough with this Loss.

I'm more saddened over MJ's death than FF's because I don't know enough of FF.. just seen her in Man of the House and that's about it I think. But MJ has had a huge impact on me for most of my life, and he's the first musician who has made me really love and appreciate music. FF's death is very sad, especially considering it was cancer and she had a long hard battle. But MJ's just impacted me more.

Ugh! Too much crying for one night. So many of my friends were effected by Michael Jackson's death. One man whom I've had in my life since I was born. I will never forget how his music touched my soul. I look to the heavens and praise you one last time. I'm gonna miss you, Michael. My deepest condolences to all the friends and loved ones of Mr. Jackson. May you find a way to smile again.
I make a toast to the great ones gone before him. R.I.P. to Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Elvis Presley. King of Pop, King of Soul, and King of Rock n' Roll. All together once again. Heaven's gonna party tonight. The great ones are always remembered.
Good night to all.

Guys, I know this is an Aaron forum, but I got to thinking about something. I think we should remove our talk of what happened on Aaron's Twitter. He's removed them from his account and I think we owe him that much respect to remove our posts as well. Let's give him the privacy and space he needs right now. Please, guys, do this for him. If you care about him at all, you'll understand that he's hurting real bad. Please be respectful to his feelings. Remove your posts about his Twitter and allow him to grieve privately. I've already removed all of mine.

saw that MJ passed away on TV last night... couldn,t come here earlier... I was in shock... I mean, that's the kind of person you think that will live forever... Never was particularly fan of the guy, but I loved some of his song, especially Thriller and Billy Jean. My heart goes with his family and friends.

I wrote this in my blog earlier today. Thought I'd share:
The death of Michael Jackson is a mournful period for anyone who was a family member, friend, and fan. A highly misunderstood individual...then again...the great ones usually are. The impeccable talent of this man was just the tip of the ice burg for him. He was an amazing human being with a heart bigger than most people could even fathom. He was one of a kind, there will be another like him. Forgive me if this manifesto is a little jumpy and out of sorts. It's very hard to collect my thoughts as I write this out. I don't think I've really stopped crying since last night. This isn't easy or me to do, but I do think it's necessary for the grieving period.
As a fan, I took the news very hard. Michael had been been in my life since I was born. He had been a huge impact on my life, more than anyone could possibly know. I was born in 1981, with a hereditary hearing loss. Since I was 50% deaf, I cherished anything I could hear without the help of hearing aids. His music was something I could never stop listening to. Being a child of the 80's, I remember jumping on my bed to the music of Michael Jackson. My mother never understood why I was so infatuated with him, but she was a fan of Jackson 5. She had brought him into my life by playing records of their albums. One of the first songs I ever learned was I'll Be There. It still remains to be one of my favorite songs of all time.
As I grew older, I learned to appreciate Michael as both a human being and an icon. In my elementary years, I would listen to his music to escape from the troubles in my own life. I had a lot of different musicians I listened to, but he was one who never failed to cheer me up. I remember when my parents finally got cable. I was able to watch videos on MTV and loved watching him on TV. I began to study him and his energy on stage drew me in. I remember thinking, "That's what I want! I want to be on stage like Michael!" His videos still continue to inspire me to this day.
By the time I hit eleven, Dangerous had come out. This album was extremely epic for me. Not only did it come out when a lot of hell went down in my home, but I saw something else about him...his lyrics. I was still young, but I was definitely old enough to understand most of what he had to say in his music. Not too long after this album came out, I found myself writing poetry and learning how to discover myself through my words. It became a great outlet for releasing my emotions. I still carry that habit to me on a daily basis.
Along with my writing, I had a huge passion for dancing and singing. Michael was my third musical influence (Elvis and The Beatles coming before him) and I learned of several other artists through his work. Many musicians I listen to now have worked with him or admitted that he influenced their music styles. So, on top of being an amazing artist and lyricist, Michael set the groundwork for so many to come over the years (and will continue to do it even after his passing).
When the History album came out, I was ecstatic. I vividly remember becoming excited on a lot of different things. My parents had finally gotten the internet and Micheal was holding an internet chat. I never did get to join in on the chat, but I do remember being excited of the idea of being part of it. I must've called a million times to win a signed guitar from the Scream video. I was just wanting a piece of him with me. The History album was by far the greatest for me. I love that album more than any album I've ever owned.
By the time I hit seventeen, I started pursing my dreams of being in the music business. I've had my share of ups and downs with my dreams, but there is one thing that never changed. My passion. I carried a piece of him with me on stage, my fedora. I never sing without it if allowed. It's become a part of my stage presence, just as it has been for many singers as well.
I continued to love and admire him as I blossomed into an adult. Now, here I am at 28 years old and he's gone. I learned of the shock while on Twitter. I didn't want to believe it was true. I rushed down to the television downstairs and the tears fell hard when I heard them announce him dead. My heart is heavy and I feel like a part of me is gone with him. However, I carry his inspiration with me. Michael was a truly amazing human being. I intend to take everything I learned from him and do my part to make this world a better place. So, as I conclude this manifesto, I tip my fedora to the heavens and whisper, "Rest in peace, Micheal. You will be missed."

Thank you for sharing Rach.
As you know, I'm still avoiding the topic myself as much as I can. I still have no words.
I started to try read about it again earlier and it just upset me more than I was prepared.
So don't mind me guys, I'm not in denial, just, well hiding in a little happy bubble ignoring it as best I can.
That was one of the reasons I was first to come and ask for a graphic, cause I knew I wouldn't be able to express myself.
No, there are no words right now.

I went to the store earlier and I decided to stop by the CD place on my way home. As expected, all MJ merchandise has been completely sold out.
Anyway, as I'm driving home, the song Bad comes on the radio. I found myself having a flashback to my childhood. I was about six years old when this happened, but it made me smile because not only was it an MJ memory, but it was a memory of my grandmother too. I started remembering how I would spend the summer with her and she'd take me shopping at the store every Sunday after church.
My grandmother was very much a conservative, but the cool thing about her was that she had the right idea. She believed in the philosophy, hate the sin, love the sinner. So, basically, even if she didn't agree with something that someone has done, she didn't judge them. Instead, she accepted it and loved them anyway. She never saw the evil in a person, which is something I always admired about her.
Anyway, we went shopping as we did every Sunday. Me in my dress, sipping on a glass bottle of Coke. I loved going to the store. Everything was so simple and uncomplicated unlike places like Wal-Mart is nowadays. We had just finished shopping and we were waiting at the checkout line. As usual, my grandmother stocked up on magazines, even National Enquirer. There were always stories about Michael in those magazines, but she paid them no mind. She always said she read them like they were a fictional book. For entertainment only, but never believe what they say.
When we got back to her house, we had lunch and I'm watching MTV. At the time, she took care of elderly people in her own home. So, while she took care of them, I was entertaining myself with music while I colored in my coloring book. I remember hearing the song "Bad" come on and I excitedly turned up the volume. I began dancing in the middle of the living room and my grandmother caught me as she was coming back from serving lunch to her patients. The funny part was that I didn't see her at first. I was off in my own little world and she was just standing there watching me with a grin on her face. I remember whirling around like he did in the video and saw her laughing at me. My grandmother was a lady, so her laugh was more of a soft giggle, but it wasn't hard to figure out that she was fully amused.
I stopped and sheepishly grinned as I reached for the remote. She just crossed the living room and said, "You and that Michael Jackson. I remember him when he was in Jackson Five."
Naturally, being that my grandmother was my biggest hero, I left the TV to follow her. I asked her questions about him as a child. She let me sit in a stool while she told me stories of her knowledge of Michael in the early days. Of course, her stories gradually leaned over to Elvis since she fancied him as a teenager. She was married very young, so my grandmother was very youthful compared to most of my friends' grandparents.
When she finished the dishes, she looked at me and said, "Come with me to the living room."
I excitedly followed her and plopped down on the couch as she opened up her dusty record player. It was the kind that had a radio, record player, and cassette player. She bought it at a yard sale earlier that summer. I watched her as she flipped through her record collection and she grinned as she hid it from me. Naturally, I assumed it was going to be something like Elvis or Johnny Cash. As soon as I heard the guitar riff, I knew it wasn't either one. It was a Jackson 5 song that I'd heard many times from my mom's collection. She continued to smile as she sat on the couch. The track got quiet I jumped up on cue. I held my hand up like a microphone and began to belt, "Wheeeeeen I haaaaaad yoooooou."
She smiled and applauded me. "Sing that song, Rach! Sing from your heart!"
Heh...I'm getting kinda teary eyed just thinking about it. She passed away last year. It's really cool how someone like Michael can give you personal memories without having real contact with them when it happens. Now I smile because I know that Michael's up in heaven with my grandmother. She's been up there with all the great ones and now another one is joining her. God bless both of them. Peace be with them.

Michael Jackson will be buried among Tinseltown's legends at Forest Lawn
Tuesday, July 7th 2009
Bette Davis has long been buried there. So have Gene Autry, Sandra Dee, John Ritter, Freddie Prinze, Isabel Sanford and Telly Savalas.
Two weeks ago, Ed McMahon joined them. And David Carradine two weeks before him.
Now, it's the King of Pop.
Today, Michael Jackson will be laid to rest in a lavish paradise of lush green lawns and million-dollar views in the Hollywood Hills.
The immaculate and gentle grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Park are home to some of Tinseltown's brightest stars, who now rest in green pastures and giant marble mausoleums.
"It's one of the greenest cemeteries in Los Angeles," said author and cemetery historian Lisa Burks. "It's immaculately kept by a massive groundskeeping crew who are very good, and it's notorious for guarding the privacy of their clients."
Cemetery officials wouldn't say where Jackson would end up on the massive grounds, but there was a flurry of activity at the posh Court of Liberty in the south section yesterday, where workers pruned trees and cut hedges, and a backhoe dug a fresh grave.
Buried nearby are stars like Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel and Ritter.
The centerpiece of the court is a bronze and marble statue of George Washington by legendary American sculptor Thomas Ball.
http://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/CARV_Pnutz/graf_forest-lawn-map.jpg
Another possible place for Jackson is the Court of Remembrance on the cemetery's north side, home to the giant stone tombs of Sandra Dee, Liberace and Prinze.
The American history-themed cemetery is part of the elite Forest Lawn chain.
"It's a gorgeous location," said Burks. "You can see the Verdugo Hills, you can see into Burbank, and when you're standing at Bette Davis' crypt, you can see Universal Studios and Disney."
Another Jackson family member is already there - Tito Jackson's first wife, Delores (DeeDee) Martes, who was murdered in 1994.
Hollywood Hills is 10 minutes away from Forest Lawn's Glendale Cemetery, the largest of the chain's properties.
Buried on those grounds are Humphrey Bogart, George Burns, Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr., Walt Disney, Clark Gable and baseball legend Casey Stengel.

Found the poem:
We Had Him by Maya Angelou
Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.
Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.
In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.
Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.
He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.
Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.
We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.
His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.
And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.
We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. He gave us all he had been given.
Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Black Star Square.
In Johannesburg and Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama, and Birmingham, England
We are missing Michael.
But we do know we had him, and we are the world.

I'm not sure what his religion is, but I'm not sure that cremation is really an option for him, at least for his family. The only reason I'm saying this is because of something his brother said when announcing his death: "may Allah be with you". Assuming the family is Islamic, they would definitely not cremate him because it goes against the beliefs of the Islamic faith.

Maybe Clear up ref: Neverland Rumors etc. No one knows where or how the rumor Started -however, The Current Owner(s) With Thomas J. Barrack Jr. as Principle Shareholder of Colony Capitol Investments and, Authorized The spending of Funds etc. to Clean Up and Prepare the Property and, He Did 'Offer' the Use of the property as, they knew throngs of people would want to go there and See it and that they Would be Thinking that It would have been MJ's wish. However in Reality? MJ publicly stated and Confirmed after the events with the trial etc. that He Would Never Return nor Wished to return to Neverland.
Here's a Link and Copy of MJ's Comments about Neverland
http://thebosh.com/archives/2009/01/michael_jackson_never_wants_to_see_his_neverland_ranch_again .php
Michael Jackson “never wants to see” his Neverland ranch again
Michael Jackson “never wants to see” his Neverland ranch again.
The ‘Thriller’ singer moved into the 2,800-acre property – in which he built
his own zoo and theme park – in 1988, but abandoned the fantasy home after
being accused of child molestation in 2003, and according to his sister
LaToya, he will never return to his Californian estate.
LaToya told fellow contestants on UK reality TV series ‘Celebrity Big
Brother’: “Michael still owns Neverland. He hasn’t been there in about six
years – not since the trial.
“He says he never wants to see it again. He doesn’t want to be there. The
memories are so awful.”
Last November, following a series of refinancing loans, 50-year-old Michael
transferred ownership of Neverland to Scamore Valley Ranch Company LLC.
The company is a joint venture between Michael – represented by attorney L.
Londell McMillan - and an affiliate of billionaire Thomas Barrack’s
investment company, Colony Capital LLC.
Michael was eventually acquitted of all child abuse charges in 2005.
As Far as Mr.Barrack’s (Colony Capitol) Letter to the Community etc. >http://la.curbed.com/archives/2009/06/_thomas_j_barrack_jr.php
Thomas J. Barrack Jr., head of Colony Capital, the Century City firm that now owns Neverland (Michael Jackson was also a part owner), has sent out a pretty emotional--in an uplifting way--letter to the Santa Barbara community today (by way of the the local press), asking basically for patience and support in handling the expected throngs of people that will be coming to Neverland, Jackson's former ranch in Santa Barbara. Here's the part about Neverland's future, but it's worth reading the whole letter. The guy sounds pretty decent. And he sounds like a poet. "The consideration of the future of the Neverland property will be addressed in due time through normal process and with appropriate deliberation. Right now, the imperative is to be responsive at a sensitive moment in which the world is watching us and observing our conduct as we mourn the loss of one of our own long-time residents." As far as that CNN rumor that Jackson's body will be on view this weekend at Neverland, Owen Silver, who has the unenviable job of handling Colony's PR, tells us he has no independent confirmation that this is true.
The windswept face of Grass Mountain and the oak tree studded hills of the Santa Ynez Valley are once again the backdrop for a global drama of epic proportion. Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50 on the eve of a universal comeback.
As his family, friends and millions of fans across the globe seek outlets in which to express their grief, Michael’s only true home, the Neverland Ranch, has become a temporary sanctuary where fans and family can still feel the presence of his kind and compassionate soul.
The universal curiosity about Neverland and its connection to Michael is an unchangeable fact. How grieving fans are treated as they arrive to pay their respects will be viewed with great interest by the world. As we all know, the impressions left by Michael’s last interaction with Santa Barbara County were not positive.
Consequently, I would like to simply frame the issue upon which we all need to focus: It is a reality that the world will quickly descend on Santa Barbara and Neverland as fans continue to grieve, and as Michael’s legacy gains perhaps more appreciation after his death than during his life.
We must be prepared for the fact that visitors and fans will come, with or without permission or an invitation. As a consequence, all actions being taken at the moment are aimed at creating a well thought out and coordinated plan amongst the family, the Sheriff, the County regulatory agencies, the fire department, local proprietors, local press, local residents and the Highway Patrol to protect and preserve the interests of all constituencies.
We must also prepare to accommodate Michael’s family’s wishes as they contemplate the location of his final resting place and their own return to the tranquil grounds of the Michael Jackson family compound.
Michael Jackson was accused, tried and acquitted in our county and found innocent on all counts. As Michael’s final arrangements are planned, his family’s wishes should be welcomed by this county with open arms. Let’s adopt an attitude of hospitality, warmth, and tolerance and allow the world to pay their respects to this global icon by conducting ourselves with grace and elegance.
The consideration of the future of the Neverland property will be addressed in due time through normal process and with appropriate deliberation. Right now, the imperative is to be responsive at a sensitive moment in which the world is watching us and observing our conduct as we mourn the loss of one of our own long-time residents.
I have been a horse rancher and farmer in the Santa Ynez Valley for more than three decades and have raised my children to continue the legacy of stewardship and preservation that we all value so highly in this magical valley.
Our peaceful pastures are imbued with a Western tradition of kindness and hospitality, free of fence lines or locked gates. We further flourished from the legacy of a strong Chumash culture and civilization which became the footprints remaining in the minds of all those who visited this majestic world. This is our chance to teach the world what “mi casa es su casa” really means.
Padre Junipero Serra, pioneer California missionary, described the future site of Santa Barbara as a "dismal and treeless" place when he first saw it in April 1782. It has taken the work of generations of dedicated people to create a county known throughout the world for its beauty. Let us all keep in mind that reputations are earned in decades and lost in moments of haste and bad decisions.
Let us allow the world and our visitors to taste a few drops of the magic elixir that is the metaphysical mix between the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley sculpted by the soft hands of God, and the warm and kind environment crafted by the hands of its residents.
Hope this Help's in Clearing up any misunderstandings etc.

Jackson family 'feud over burial place'
WENN
The Jackson family are reportedly arguing over where the King of Pop should be buried after his public memorial.
Yesterday, Jermaine Jackson said that he hoped his brother would be buried at his Neverland Ranch, but apparently laws state that it is illegal to hold burials on private property.
The Jackson clan are now falling out over whether the 'Thriller' singer should be cremated and his ashes scattered at his old estate, according to reports.
A source told RadarOnline that Jackson's mother Katherine does not want her son's body or ashes anywhere near his old home, saying: "Michael left Neverland for good, never to return. He felt this place he had built had been tainted."

Report: Michael Jackson Rests in Berry Gordy's Crypt
http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20287787_20290579,00.html
Monday night, Michael Jackson's elaborate, gold casket was open for viewing by family members (http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20287787_20290557,00.html) at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles. Tuesday, it was closed when presented to fans during the memorial tribute (http://tvwatch.people.com/category/michael-jackson-1958-2009-the-memorial/) at the Staples Center. And now, as it awaits burial, the casket containing the King of Pop, who died June 25 (http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20287787_20287781,00.html), sits in a temporary resting place – a Forest Lawn crypt belonging to Motown founder Berry Gordy, reports the New York Post (http://www.nypost.com/seven/07102009/news/nationalnews/jacko_in_this_box_178566.htm).
But while Jackson rests, lively discussions are being held by a divided Jackson family about where to bury their golden child, according to the Post.
Brother Jermaine and father Joseph reportedly want Michael to be buried at the Neverland Ranch, where a prospective museum could generate future income, despite a likely lengthy process to transform the property into a Graceland-like tourist attraction.
Mother Katherine and the other siblings, however, are said to seek a more respectful burial ground, in keeping with Michael's desire never to return to Neverland after he believed sheriff's deputies had tainted the property when they sought evidence in the child-molestation case against him.
So, for now, Jackson is in the Gordy crypt, which is described as a sparse, empty mausoleum highlighted by a G monogram and located on the same property as the graves for such Hollywood icons Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Gene Autry and Sandra Dee, as well as James Bond producer Cubby Broccoli, comic Freddie Prinze and flamboyant entertainer Liberace.
Sad.. That MJ Probably will take years and years before his remains are ever actually allowed to R.I.P

Jermaine became muslim in 2006, I believe. The rest of the Jackson clan are Jehovah Witnesses.
About Neverland. An investor bought it so it wouldn't be auctioned off. The buyer is in talks with the Jackson family about what to do with Neverland.

Partial explanation of why They are Using Barry Gordy's Crypt , Least what I was told and, A simple Search confirmed > In 15 December 1973, Jermaine Jackson married Hazel Gordy, who is the daughter of Motown Records (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motown_Records) founder Berry Gordy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berry_Gordy). _ Thus, the Crypt was loaned for use by the Family -until a Decision can be reached as to MJ's Final Resting Place.
Additionally, The Coroner's Office still Has Other Parts of the Remains in their Lab undergoing test's etc. (ie: His Brain) And, According to a release his Mother would prefer to wait until ALL of him can be interned at the same time.
Also? I do Believe He (Jermaine Jackson) Completed Acceptance & Converted to the Muslim Faith in 1989 - Least?? that's what he say's in his Video Blog -linked to his Wiki??
