"America's Team" LOST Who dubbed the Cowboys that anyhow? Was it Jerry Jones? Tony Romo is not worthy of all the praise heeped on him sometimes. I miss John Elway:(

The nickname was connected to the Cowboys long before Jerry Jones was. It goes back to the 70s, I think.
Romo is totally overrated. He has had a few good games, but is really only mediocre.

Claire and I agree on few things footall-wise. This would be one.

Here's one where we differ: Same thing applies to Eli.

My vote is with He-who-should-not-be-named.

He who should not be named? Why? He's so awesome if you mention his name the world will end? Gosh, that's special.

No, he's just an ass now. A talented ass, but an ass.

Let me see NFL ass-quarterbacks, Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, supposedly Brett, but we all know a smart ass is better than a dumb ass...or a smelly ass like Tony Romo. PU!

and furthermore...are we judging 'THE GREATEST QUARTERBACK OF ALL TIMES' by scores, championships or all around fan faves??...or judging by the fact that they are teriffic-team pig skin throwers? Is there a quarterback that has all of the above?

"He" holds all the important offensive records. I stand by that.

I never knew that Voldemort played for the Packers!
The highest career passer rating belongs to Steve Young, I believe. Dan Marino has to be the best QB that never won a championship. I would probably vote for Montana as the best ever.
Voldemort lost my respect forever when he took that dive.

Hate to break it too you but Brady is right behind Montana who by stats is the best QB ever check the stats. I love Brady and glad is almost back to 100% every week he gets better and better and now that Welker is back things are looking up....

But just think of what Montana and others could have accomplished if their coaches had only been willing to cheat! :p

I'm so sick and tired of the cheating thing every team has done it. End of story Heck Ditka and many others have said they have done the same thing the difference is they didn't get caught.

Well, if you're gonna cheat, at least be smart. :p
Stole that Super Bowl in 05, they did!
GO BRONCOS!

They didn't steal the superbowl get over it the pats are a great team. Tom is getting better and better every week. Sure its gonna take time heck look at Peyton i believe it was last year it took time. People can hate i understand its easy to hate the best. I just sit back and laugh.... Nobody's team is perfect no ones....
My second fave team is the 49ers Montana was the man.
I also like Farve say what you want about him but he is great too.

I don't know, I think you could make a case for the stealing thing. First half, Pat's defense was pretty inept. Second half, after reviewing the tapes........
McNabb was inaccurate, not broken up, in the first half.
And you can't exactly say the Pats are the best. At least yesterday, the Broncos were better.

I still think the pats are better then the broncos sorry OT and whoever gets the ball first will score and the broncos did so they won.
I've always thought McNabb was a good QB hes had some rough breaks tho.
But I don't think Tom is 100% back it'll take time. I believe Farve right now is the best in the NFL hes really good if my pats can't make it to the superbowl i hope Farve does i think he deserves it.

Hate to break it too you but all coaches have cheated. Dikta, Shula and many others have admitted to it when the whole Pats thing came to light. They even said themselves the difference is the Pats got caught and we didn't.

I wouldn't be willing to say "all" cheat; I'm sure a good many of them have at some time. But just because Ditka, Shula, and a few others did isn't proof that everyone did, at least not in this way.
The Patriots' coach was known to videotape the signals on the other side of the field. He was warned to stop, but was caught again by the Jets. They were fined heavily.
Here in Eagles's territory, we're pretty much convinced he was doing it during the Super Bowl in 2005. The difference in play between the halves are pretty convincing.

What about Jerry Jones?

Jerry Jones reminds me of JESUS JONES. So if you have such an awesome team, why would you have to cheat? Is that just the way of the NFL or only with teams that couldn't win otherwise?

I'm not sure Jerry Jones has ever been accused of cheating. It wouldn't surprise me, given the fact that he's willing to sign players that have had numerous run-ins with the law (ironic, I know, coming from a fan of the team that signed Michael Vick). He's also just obnoxious.
Perfectly appropriate for the team that has the nerve to call itself "America's Team." Nobody polled my household on that one. lol!
