Waited 5 min. I got 2, a glazed and a custard filled topped with chocolate. It was well worth the wait

ISOJ: After much practice, the people in my office have a microwave system to ensure just out of the oven warmth and freshness.

on high- 5 secs...wait 2 secs..7 secs...wait 2 secs...5 secs.

it worked for me the other day. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/biggrin.gif

God knew what he was doing when he made Krispy Kremes. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/biggrin.gif Glad it worked out well for you. Imagine how much better a hot and not flat one could be.

I can't remember if I told you guys about my Krispy Kreme experience... if I did, ignore this post.

I pick LJ up at the airport Friday afternoon, and he has two K.K.'s in his backpack. In the car on the way home he pulls them out and says, "Look Mommy! Krispy Kremes!" I look in the rear-view mirror and see him holding up a ziplock bag with what appears to be two pancakes inside. So I take the bag from him, pull out the flattened Krispy Kremes, give one to him, take one for myself, and DAMN was it good! Flat as a pancake... two days old... it's still the best damn donut I've ever had!

ok I never realized that Krispy Kreme was so popular. I live in the town that Krispy started, and the head quarters is here. Kinda funny. we grew up with the doughnuts all the time. they even sell them in the grocery stores here. they get fresh deliverys every day. funny our town is known for ciggs, and dougnuts, oh yeah and texas pete. anyone live in the NC area?

You know something? I think I started this whole Krispy Kreme phenomenom around here. I oughta be a salesman for these people. Well, the freakin' things sell themselves. Don't they? But still.. I am Mr. Krispy Kreme! http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/tongue.gif

Krispy Kreme is the best. Since I'm from NC I couldn't imagine not being able to get a dozen of the HOT glazed. They just melt in your mouth.

This topic reminds me of something that happened at the hotel this weekend.....
A couple was checking out and after I had given them their receipt they asked me where the closest Krispy Kream store was. I almost busted out laughing right in there face. I held my composure even though the whole entire time I was thinking about ISOJ.

Did you tell them that the only place you can buy Krispy Kremes in Kentucky is at the grocery? And they're a month old too! At least...

hey kevy, no need to go all the way down to LA. there's a KK not too far from you in Union City! Girl, it's a hop-skip-and-a-jump from the South Bay. Another note: going to LA too, on Thursday for a little R&R. Good to see your posts.

LOVE IKEA! We don't have a store here, so I just order stuff from the catalog. I am making a necessary road trip to Milwaukee Wisconsin in November (to see my favorite boyband http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/wink.gif ) and I might just have to go to the IKEA store in Chicago while I'm down there.

Speaking of IKEA... if I had a dollar for every time I see that wavy green dresser show up in a commercial, I'd be up to my ears in cash.

The only Krispy Kremes we have around here are shipped fresh daily(they arrive around 3 am)to a convenient store...they are still great though. While we were on vacation in Florida though we went to an actuall store where they were being made fresh(it was about 9 pm and the store was packed)...man those were good.I like the glazed with chocolate icing and the creme filled ones best.A friend said the apple filled cinnimon were good too but if I'm going to splurge a thousand calories I'm going to have some chocolate...LOL.
