If it's not too terribly rude of me to ask, how old are you people? What to you all do all day? I don't mean this in a mean way or anything...I'm just very curious...

We have a way of doing that. It's our weeding-out process.

Only the strong survive. I so want to say "in South Central" after that.

Nah, you didn't scare me away. I'm 17 and I work at a restuarant. Cleaning off tables and making hardly any tips. So I'm a smack dealer on the side. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/wink.gif

I'd imagine I'm older than some of the folks in this forum and younger than some. Any more specific information on my age is only reluctantly divulged.

And you can call me a scientist or an engineer, depending on how theoretical or practical I'm feeling. I also take photographs of cats.

29 and I help the rich become richer at the expense of the working class. That's right, I'm a "senior tax consultant".

I'm a nuclear physisist, but that is so intense that I temper it with random acts of serial killing on alternate weekends. Mondays I do aerobics.

The Big 5 has claimed the immortal souls of 3 people in here. But my emancipation is on the horizon...but will it be out of the frying pan and into the fire?

Something else calling, ig? or is this the "I'm about to vest so it won't be long now" happy thoughts?

Neither. We're restructuring. Pretty soon, my emotional tithe will no longer be paid to THE FIRM. We just don't know if some other titan of big business will gobble us up or if we'll pursue our entrepreneurial yearnings.

Either way, our name can't be worse than it is now. I've worked here 5 years and pretty soon, the company will have its third name. Nice touch. I feel like a professional wrestler.

Luckily, I'm not in the line of service that HP is buying...but our potential investor has a longer name.

Work is now like a soap opera. No matter how painful it is to tune in, I can't not wonder how it's all going to turn out.
