I have made my site free to use ,
It was a freak decision so if you want to learn from a 20 year veteran this is the place . The site has chord finders for both guitar and piano . lessons and theory and all with sound to make it fun.
I have mp3s from the greatest guitar players around and all for free download ,
Listen while you learn or just crank it up on your pc and dig in while you surf.
You will like this stuff I guarantee it.
What the hell ever happened to the bands that really rocked out .
lets get the guitar back out front where it belongs.

If you want to hear samples of my personal jams go to http://www.mp3.com/mikael
good luck and good karma.

SPAM'R! http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/tongue.gif

bonzbabe
Oct 4th, 2000, 08:36 AM
Speaking of Spam (the meat by-product), my son was asking me what Spam is. I was totally flummoxed. It just said it was gross and left it at that. I don't think he was satisfied with that answer.

I meant to say "I just said it was gross" but I think Spam itself, if it had a voice, would most likely agree.

Judge not. Hawaii consumes more Spam per capita than any other state. We had it growing up every time we went camping. It's not the best stuff in the world, but there is much worse.

I just so happen to have a can in my desk (gag gift). The ingreadients are pork with ham (???), salt, water, sugar, and sodium nitrite.

bonzbabe
Oct 4th, 2000, 08:43 AM
Lord yes, people eat it. They even had to come out with Spam Lite for the more health conscious Spam consumers. Yuck.

bonzbabe
Oct 4th, 2000, 08:45 AM
ig, did you score it, stud it with cloves, and garnish it with pineapple like on the can? Oh, and can't forget the cherry in the middle of the pineapple ring.

I must admit, I have eaten it and, yes, there are worse things. It's just an easy target and you know it, LOL.

bonzbabe
Oct 4th, 2000, 08:51 AM
which reminds me of Underwood Deviled Ham. Why does adding mayonnaise to something make it deviled? Anyone? Anyone? I know you don't need to add mayonnaise to me to make me devilish, although it probably would "spice" things up. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/eek.gif

And on that note, I have to get to work. My trainer in the Pacific Time Zone should be logging on right about now. Don't have too much fun without me.

igster
Oct 4th, 2000, 08:59 AM
Do you really want an answer to your deviled question? Deviled means spiced...and it takes more than mayonnaise usually.

I don't crave Spam, but it's hugely convenient when you're in the woods. A colleague is having a Hawaiian party, and I'm sure to suggest a Spam dish. They guest won't know what him them.

Bonz, my mom eats that garbage and has tried to sneak it passed me quite a few times in my life also. It hasn't worked yet. She also eats this stuff called Corned Beef Hash that comes in a similar can and looks equally gross.

Does anybody know what that Potted Meat Product is? What does "potted" mean when used to refer to meat? http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/confused.gif

Salad is considered finger food? Hmmm, that's a new one.

ig, I knew you'd have a smart ass answer for that inquiry.

OK, OK, my trainer isn't ready to work yet. She's too tired, and I have no jobs queued up yet, so I have to sit and wait. She said if I don't hear from her by 8:55 PST to give her a call. Boo hoo. She obviously doesn't have kids or her butt would have been out of bed a long time ago. OK, done venting.

I just don't have the energy to care anymore.

Not a clue on potted meat. I will say that tastes bad. Same with Vienna Sausages. I'm guessing something to do with pork.

I am not offended. It seems that every forum is like this . I am saying hi and offering something and this is how it is . people think I'm spamming. that is a really stupid label to put on things . " in my opinion " .
I am giving people a quick and easy way to know who I am because I don't believe in being anonymous.
I am not offended in any way and I do understand all about this.

I have no ambitions to learn to play the guitar and go on to be a rock star.

Anyway, back to the spam topic...Spam salad is not a lettuce type salad it's like tuna salad.....Spam, mayo, pickles, onions.

Also, my mom occasionally fixes fried spam. Scary, I know, but I bet you can't get it at Cracker Barrel. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/wink.gif

bonzbabe

Does fried Spam smell as bad as fried bologna? I don't think so. And, believe it or not, Corned Beef Hash isn't so bad, although I prefer the Roast Beef Hash. We always had that on our camping trips. http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/biggrin.gif

I'm assuming that poor Mike is being notified every time someone responds to his post, and he keeps coming back to this post in amazement that no one is discussing guitars.

By the way, why are Pork and Ham listed as different ingredients in the Spam? I mean, it's not like Cheese compared to Cheese Food. Thoughts?

kentuckychic
Oct 4th, 2000, 11:31 AM
Because they come from different parts of the pigs body.....I don't know.

Potted meat is made out of everything that is left over at the bottom of the grinders at the end of the day. One day someone said, why are we throwing this away we could package it up and sale it!!!!

There is a sausage factory in my county and rumor is at night you can hear the pigs squealing right before they are slaughtered. I've never had the desire to go find out if it is true or not.

igster
Oct 4th, 2000, 11:36 AM
Spam can outlive Cher.

KY's right. Ham comes from a certain portion of a pig (I'm thinking hind leg?). Pork is nebulous...just something to do with the big in a metaphysical sort of way. It's the other white meat.

I really don't care for anything that is pickled (maybe an occasional bar-hottie). My mom used to make something called "cold pickles" in the fridge. They only took a few days. Those were ok. The worst thing are those lame-arse pickled jalapenos you get on restaurant nachos. Fresh peppers are much better.
