Hey all!

We had a thread going with your all time favorite song, and unfortunately, it's almost impossible to narrow your favorite songs down to less than 5 or 10, so I decided to start this thread for your top 10 favorite songs of all time. :D I'll start...these are really in no particular order, but the first ones are my favorites.

1. Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode (I wish somebody would bring the old DM back, they stink now that Dave's clean)
2. Come and Sail Away - Styx (You need to hear this song if you haven't)
3. Jeremy - Pearl Jam (the song that started teen angst)
4. Anarchy in the UK - Sex Pistols (the song that started human angst)
5. Ape Drape - Vandals (I've got a mullet, yes I do...)
6. Obvious - Christina Aguilera (My fave Christina song)
7. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses (If you went to high school in the late 80's, this is mandatory)
8. Da Funk - Daft Punk (this song gets addicting)
9. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne (the greatest rock song ever)
10. Stranglehold - Ted Nugent (the second greatest rock song ever)

What are yours? :D

It's very hard to distinguish such a feat but I will try to explain why I have chosen this as my top 10 songs for the moment. This is in no particular order:

1)Holy Wars...The Punishment Due - Megadeth
- This song represents what rock/metal music should be....intelligent/politically inspired lyrics...a vicious intro/guitar work...unbridled structure. This song is still congruent to the signs of our time.

2)One - Metallica
- A monumental epic in it's own right....the lyrics are haunting and thought provoking in regards to man and his need to feel wanted in a arena of bloodshed. The vocals and guitar work are monumental. Ulrich's finest hour in terms of drumming.

3)Good Mourning/Black Friday - Megadeth
- The lyrics symbolizes the transformation of a man into a vicious killer. The sheer anger and stress that Mustaine shows in here are the blueprints of every fueled song with hate filled in it. The guitar work is just plain brilliant ...this song makes you want to raise your fist into the sky ...readying to pounce on someone.

4)Raining Blood - Slayer
- The epitome of what Slayer is all about...nothing fancy just plain aggression at it's finest.

5)Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
- The song that epitomizes Led Zeppelin...No Matter how sloppy of a player Jimmy Page is...His guitar orchestration is master class in it's self...The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways.

6)Master Of Puppets - Metallica
- The song that every inspiring Metal Guitarist has to learn...the lyrics are more drug based and more straight forward...drumming was bad but Hetfield and Hammett delivered the knockout blow in terms of sheer riff assault.

7)Nothing Compares To You - Sinead O Connor
- Two Words: Sinead's Delivery

8)Looking Down The Cross - Megadeth
- As nasty as Mustaine can snarl...his g-string might be tight in here...the lead guitar work of Chris Poland shines in here.

9)Paradise City - Guns N Roses
- This song represents what Guns N Roses was all about...Killer guitar line courtesy of Slash and Izzy Stradlin...Rose's Vocalization was topnotch in here

10)Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
- Southern yeehaw at it's finest...the haunting tune of man's want for freedom in terms of relationship is represented well in here...The vocals really represent that tapped emotion that not everyone can pull...Blues Guitar players master this song for it's 5 minute ++ guitar attack...The confederates must be proud of this song.
