View Full Version : I Am No Longer A Krispy Kreme Virgin
Angel320
May 16th, 2001, 01:20 PM
With the help of Nikki and Leia, I had my first taste of the Krispy Kreme's this weekend. They are the best damn donuts on the face of this planet! I ate four of those suckers in about 5 minutes.
I cannot wait until my next trip to Virgina in June. First stop, the Kripsy Kreme. And the red light better be on if they know what is good for them!

The funniest part of it is that Angel doesn't like glazed donuts so she got a glazed, not expecting to like it and with much protest, and a chocolate covered one and wolfed down the glazed. Then she bitched about wasting her time and calories on the crappy chocolate one instead of getting another glazed, which she proceeded to make up for.
The other funniest part was the sugar high that was induced and the Bye Bye Bye dance replication in her paper KK hat. Oh, don't you wish you'd been there! :D

kentuckychic

EASTERN Kentucky is where everyone gets married at 14 (and usually to a relative). Round here where all of we snobby people that don't have accents live, it's 18.

kentuckychic
May 23rd, 2001, 07:43 AM
There's nothing wrong with living in the country. The only thing I don't like about it is how quiet it is. I have to sleep with a fan or radio on just so the house isn't so quiet.
My neighbor has horses and cows too. At the farm there are more cows and guess what else....tobacco. The farm next to our friends raises buffalo....and tobacco.
However, I don't own a corncob pipe and I don't chew tobacco....again EASTERN Kentucky. I do use the term kin though.
PB&Kev
May 23rd, 2001, 07:47 AM

PB&Kev

Unfortunately that is true in a lot of cases. There seems to be some unadvertised, unspoken hillbilly contest to see who can raise their truck the highest.
Last night I saw a Grand Cherokee that had tires on it as big as the truck itself. Klassy. It was good for a chuckle though.
vester
May 23rd, 2001, 08:13 AM
Which brings me to another topic.
Why do people feel it necessary to buy such large vehicles.
There's a new SUV, The Navigator, I think which is humungous(sp?), takes up about 4 parking spots.
Unless you are going on safari or on a mountain expedition, why do you need such a large vehicle to drive to the cottage each weekend and do your grocery shopping?
kentuckychic
May 23rd, 2001, 08:16 AM
They're real live living breathing buffalo PB, not concrete. I swear there's a whole entire field of them right next to Mamaw and Grandaddy Bill's farm. We can ride out there at lunch if you'd like and I'll prove it to you. Of course I'm sure you probably have better plans. ;)
PB&Kev
May 23rd, 2001, 08:17 AM
I can't say much. I drive a Jeep...the big one. BUT, I do think there are some excesses. Ford is making a new one called an Excursion that is just insane. It makes the Navigator look small.
My friend and I rented an Expedition which is smaller than Ford's new one and it took me 5 minutes to tell you that I wouldn't consider buying one. It was definitely overkill.

Technically, it's Explorer, Expedition, Excursion. Navigator is by Lincoln not Ford. Now if we're just talking SUVs in general I don't have a clue.
I'm very disturbed at this moment because on my way to the restroom I passed one of the gay men in our office coming out of the men's restroom with a very 'cat that swallowed the canary' happy smile on his face. I don't want to know what happened in that restroom.
