"Cunnilingus" and Asbury Park Night

Just finished listening to Asbury Park Night. Great sound quality and a great concerts. Mostly "G-rated."

However, Bruce steps into his "R-Rated" alter ego on the intro to "Red Headed Woman." He goes on and on and on about "Cunnilingus" where he even wonders if he's pronouncing it correctly. Depends on which side of the fence you are, but I found it both humorous and WAY over the edge, almost embarrasingly so. While it is quite tame for some Rap lyrics, it's not what you'd expect from Bruce (not that there's anything wrong with it http://talk.livedaily.com/docs/smile.gif).

Just wondered what others thought who may have heard it.

I thought it was hilarious, especially his political impressions. But I mean, it was far removed from the days of BitUSA, so he's speaking to mostly an audience of people his own age (myself not included there).
It was a bit extreme for Bruce, but the story in and of itself is tame compared to say "Pilgrim in the Temple of Love". Neither of the two are totally serious, but to every joke there's probably a grain of truth.

I will tell you what was totally and unconscionably WRONG though:
Those totally HORRIBLE puns after the tune. That Bruce...

I thought it was very funny and actually kind of cool, I mean, how many male rock stars show such public enthusiasm for performing oral sex? Especially with their own wife? It was done very playfully and I'm sure he wouldn't have said it if either he or Patti were uncomfortable with it. From what I've gathered here and from listening to boots, over the years he's often told very personal, very funny stories and I would see this as a more adult version of that part of his act.

If any of you have gone through the Catholic school system, I'm sure you realize that he probably had to say something about sex. After all, they mess with your head about that and now he was back where all that development took place...

I loved the Freehold tune too! (I can see why he said he'll only play that once)

Sorry, I see that you said 'Asbury Park Nights'. Something like that takes place on the Freehold Night cd too.
I have thought of saying something to the folks that I make that copy for, just in case they listen to it with their children present. Now I guess I don't have to, it's public record thanks to this thread.

MT- As someone in his 14th year of Catholic School, I can say with the greatest amount of certainty, all those songs that peolpe say that Bruce proves his catholicism, I really don't get. I think I', suffering from a lack of perspective.

THOUGH I know what Bruce had trouble with has been amended, to some extent.

however, you'd still end up being sent home for pissing in your desk.

During the GOTJ tour, a friend of mine took his 10 year old son to see Bruce, who had always been (relatively) clean cut before (I mean, compared to MANY other performers), and then we hear this little speech! It was hilarious to me (but I wouldn't have wanted to be in the car on the way home with them--I'm sure he had some questions to answer!)

Thats nothing! I have a boot from a benefit Bruce did at his old cathloic school a few years ago, and in front of the nuns and the priest he talks in detail about cunnilingus and how if you "do it right" you can get a woman to do anything for you! The crowd loved it!!I also think Bruce enjoys talking about it and doing it!!! My kinda guy!!!
