BSB-aholics Meeting Tonite 6/6/01

(wearing a black and blue simple shirtdress, one black shoe and one blue shoe, rising to feet and clearing throat) (pause and audible sigh) (haltinging, tentatively) My name is Geeze and I am a BSB-aholic. It was bad today, folks. I took my mom to the grocery store. Now, it takes her enough time for me to read every teeny mag in the place for her to make one circuit of the store. Finished the teeny mags (what is up with the no Boy presence, they getting too mature and therefore not good enough for the pubescent masses?) and am now reading the nutritional content of starfruit in the fruit aisle, comparing the merits of blueberry fiber vs blackberry fiber and in the bread aisle verbally berating and poking the low fiber bread when a cart bumps me. Turns out it's a friend (I must need a lot of therapy because it's hard for me to say that word) I hadn't seen since BB (Before Boys). She made the mistake of asking me what I had been up to. Since I'm grooving and on Backstreet Simmer, I begin to tell her and a Backstreet Seizure hit. To my horror my mouth and brian lock in the open position I can't stop spouting about them to her. I mean verbal diarrhea at its worst. I mean I can't stop talking. Have you ever done something loony, realized you were doing something loony and been unable to stop yourself from continuing to do something loony? She flees from me eventually in terror laughing hysterically I might add. I'm afraid to take her up on her offer to go to lunch because God alone knows what useless-to-anyone-but-another-fan bits of trivia I am going to heave up and how crazy I'm going to sound. I mean its okay to wear out The Hater with Boy stuff but he has no choice because I pay his bills. I don't know how to put this but did you know that people who aren't in love with them don't want to har about them? Unreal, I tell you. I have never been more in need of a 12-step program for anything in my life. This is apparently beyond obsession.

My roomate likes to tell me how pathetic my obsession is. Meanwhile he spends 20 hours a day in front of the computer shooting aliens, and other such mind opening games.

I took that from my best friend...she thinks I'm mental over the Backstreet Boys, and she always says their name in the most ANNOYING and MOCKING way! Hi, I'm Cherise, and I'm a BSB-aholic. I'm currently ENGROSSED in a 130 Chapter fanfic about the Boys, will I finish it all? Most definetly, while listening to a medley of my fave BSB songs. And if I don't finish it, it goes in my Favorites so I can continue to read it every night. Brought my discman to work today, just another good excuse to ignore my boss. :o

Hi, I'm Mel and I'm a Backstreetaholic. I can't even go an hour without thinking about them in some way, shape, or form. I've had the Black and Blue tape in the car for 8 months straight now and all I do is listen to it over, and over, and over. I will sit in a store for half an hour looking through teeny mags for good pics. My room is a Backstreet shrine, as is my side of the dorm room. I spend god knows how many hours on the net every day looking at BSB-related webpages and talking to BSB fans...there's tons more, but I need to give others a chance also.

Hi, my name is Harmonie and I'm a BSB-aholic. Last night I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up all night watching my BSB video of CBS special/TRL Retirement/MTT. WHen i finally fell asleep at 6 in the morn. and woke up in a very bad mood this afternoon, I proceeded to watch more BSB videos, and was happy again :) !!! I don't like to leave my room because I have almost completed my B&B poster collection and am surrounded by Nick, AJ, and Howie staring at me from all angles. I've recently learned, due to the fact that I just got a stereo system for my room, that its pointless to try and fall asleep listening to BSB, cause it just gets me excited, hot and bothered, wistful, giddy, and everything BUT sleepy and relaxed. Uh, I realize that I have an addiction, but WHY, I ask, WHY??? would I want to get rid of it???? Nope, I'll be fine, really...

I have definitely simmered down a little since May 26 hit. But seeing the roomate comment reminded me of a shameful act I took part in.

When I was filling out my college housing info for next year for roomate selection, I wrote in big caps under type of music: MUST LIKE BACKSTREET BOYS. I even had the nerve, when my counsler asked me if there was anything I was really worried about with having a roomate, and I blurted out: IF they dont like the BSB, there are going to be some major problems. I continuned to repeat that my roomate must tolerate bsb and preferably enjoy their bodies, faces, and voices..

my name is sara and i am also a backstreetaholic, i am glad that i can come and share my problem with all of you! ehehe.i have been know to be pshcyo, insane and above all OBSESSED, by friends family and athority. i try to tell my self that my "obsession" isnt so bad but when i hear, or see these amazing boys it seems everything around me dissapears. thing is I DONT WANT TO LOSE THIS PROBLEM. although what is behond obsessed? cuz i am reaching that point!

Louise and i have worked out that we need roughly £150 at least, unless we go for the whole shinnagins and then we need about £210 for a short backstreetin' venture.

going through the options we came accross something that made one of our more outrageous friends look in first horror and then confusion mixed with something remarkable similar to "where the hell's the nearest door?"

the plan was to sell my bike, work double shifts and sell our blood. it was the blood that got her. didn't seem so weird to us.

unfortunatly you have to actually DONATE it in the UK. gutted. no pay. how selfish :o

oh well, everyone loves a table dancer... :p
