MTV's arch-rival Fuse is at it again. Known for its pranks against the larger and older music channel, Fuse has now told viewers that the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28 will open with a Madonna retrospective "with different performers singing some of her hits before Madonna herself takes the stage" - when nothing of the kind is planned. Fuse is also posting all the categories from the VMAs on its Web site, Fuse.com, to see who the real winners should be.

Yeah, Much Music USA just recently changed it's name to Fuse.
