The Ny Times 60th Anniv. Issue Of 'Fashions Of The Times'

Today Britney fans witnessed the unexpected. We weren't prepared for it, no word on it from the usual Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight. This was something that was kept under extreme secrecy. It just got to WoB this morning, completely fresh and naked, never before seen. At first, I was like, this can't be real.....I mean, I saw the cover, that was the first thing I saw before anything else, and I just couldn't believe it.

Magazines and Tabloids that often get an interview with Britney tend to use the sentence 'Britney Bares Her Soul', but you know what, I've always thought of that as a bull**** phrase to get people's attention. This photoshoot, Britney's most amazing yet, is what I call baring your soul. You won't get any more personal than this.

I want to quote Larry Rudolph (Britney's manager) who said 2 years ago while Britney was at her absolute peak, the following : 'If you think this is all she can do, you have seen nothing yet'. Today, that quote became more like an understatement. Britney is truly breaking barriers once again by taking a route not many artists have the power to take. You have two factors, you have the sex appeal and you also have the 'see but don't touch' appeal. The combination of this together with a photoshoot like this which to me is so much more than amazing art, creates an outcome of higher respect and even more admiration for what is Britney Spears. She proved the critics wrong, who thought that the only way for her to still stay on top was to do the slutty Christina Aguilera approach, they said, that was the only way Britney could get into the competition once again. But guess what........she's accomplishing that with refined style and absolute intuition.

I am seriously starting to understand, how much more we still have to go, in this journey into what will be the 4th album era.....there are ways and ways to promote yourself to the world, and to break new records, Britney's approach will get her to new heights that we still cannot comprehend.
