BRITNEY SPEARS is in the news again. She's dating - so "they" say - Jared Leto, Cameron Diaz's former beau. Cameron is definitely dating Justin Timberlake, who as we all know, waited patiently for Britney to pass from girl to woman. I love the idea that this is a "revenge" ploy on Britney's part. For one thing, Justin is so "yesterday" re Miss Spears - first love, ended sadly, everybody grows up and moves on.

I don't think Britney is the vengeful type. But she is press savvy and has an album coming. This 22-year-old also has to fight the perception that she has peaked. It's best to plug a product when the press is hot for your personal life - voila! - date your ex's current squeeze's ex. Always good for an Us Weekly cover.

Word on Britney's CD is that it boasts one killer single in particular - "Breathe on Me." She still cites Madonna as a role model for long-lasting stardom and loves young Hilary Duff, who is definitely in the realm of competition. Asked by Popstar! magazine if she had advice for Hilary, Spears says, "I don't think she needs advice. She's doing pretty darned good. She is just completely a light to the world. So beautiful and so incredibly sweet. Her music is amazing . . . she should just be herself and never change!"

isn't brit only 21? hahaha NYPOST needs to get their facts straight..and can't really believe what they say, but whatever..I have to read REALIBLE sources...of official news..other than that...this is just one of the rumors..so yeah...and she's not even dating Jared..what's up with all the rumors? Britney even cleared the rumor herself...People Magazine talked to her and Jared and they both said nothing was going on...wtf! Anyways..I can't believe Britney kissing her dancers isn't even in the news.

Why is it always Britney going for the revenge, why can't it be Jared I mean he was engaged to Cameron, I swear to God, they just don't let up on Brit, it's quite funny to me, like she has this hypnotic power over Jared where's just a helpless toy in her so-called "revenge" LMAO! Gotta love the rumor mill!
But hey if anything were to happen with Brit and Jared, he's not a bad catch. Something mysteriously sexy about him!
That's cool what she said about Hillary even though personally don't like the girl. Hehe!
Anyway, another slow news day I guess for the Post, but I think that's everyday for them! LOL!
