Cool Why Jesus Is Better Than Santa Claus

Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus

Santa lives at the North Pole ...
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh ...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year ...
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies ...
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited ...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa ...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap ...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is
"Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ...

JESUS knew our name before we were born.
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly ...
JESUS has a heart full of love

All Santa can offer is ** ** ** ...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys ...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs
broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but ...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree ...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree.... The cross.

We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas, Jesus is still the reason for the season.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Being a non-Christian, I don't celebrate Christmas. But I do agree with you, Gail. Christmas is not about the birth of Jesus anymore; it's about buying and getting presents. I do buy something for my nephew because he's six and because I know that Christmas is a big deal for kids.

I've attended Christmas Mass a few times. The program is truly a magnificent pageant. I've enjoyed it.

This year is especially hard. It is the first holiday season without my daughter. I would be heading out to LA, or she would be coming here right about now. I miss her terribly. May I ask that you all keep me in your thoughts and prayers now? I would really appreciate it.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and a joyuous Kwaza to everyone!

Double, you're in my prayers everyday. I pray some day you're able to have a healed heart and go on with life knowing one day you'll meet her again and be happy together forever.

I agree, Christmas Mass is an awesome service. I used to go when I was younger. Now, I try to catch some of it on TV with my Mother only since Daddy passed away. I know the feeling of loss although I have no clue how bad it hurts to lose a child. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you in this so difficult season to face the empty places in our hearts. I feel when we share each other's losses that makes it a little easier knowing someone feels the love for us that we are missing one in our hearts. But God promised us if we only believe on Him we will meet again one day, even you and I, in Heaven. That quite honestly is what I live for here from day to day in this sin cursed and troubled world. I know better times are awaiting me and will always be happy forevermore there on the other side. I pray your heart can be opened again soon to that love and promise through Jesus Christ,

It's commercialized only because everyone wants to leave Christ out of Christmas figuratively and literally.

That's really sad. They both exist in my heart. That's why I can still be a kid at Christmas time even at my age.

Gosh, how can I explain myself??? Hmmm.......I realize physically older kids and adults know that there is no red-suited man coming down the chimney bearing toys. But the love of Jesus gives us the option to have joy in our hearts big enough to understand the Santa Clause idea is real because of His ultimate gift to us. That puts the happiness and spirit of the season in our heart so the magic of Chistmas can be felt all over every year on our Savior's birth. The magical quality of giving, the reverence of the season, the dawn of rebirth that His birth offers us is enough to make my heart be in great joy at this time of year. And of course, as Chad's family says in celebration of the day.....

Happy Birthday Jesus

A house so quiet, so humble,
A Child beside her bed,
Her hands clasped tightly ... time to pray,
So she bowed her little head.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Daddy said that you were near,
And that you had a birthday
This time every year.

He told me how you listen to
Every word we say,
And that you hear us call,
In the night ... or in the day.

He explained how bad they hurt you
And made you suffer so,
But said you let them do it,
For girls like me ... I know.

He told me about the manger they put you in,
I'd let you have my blanket
If I was there ...
Back then.

He said that you were watching
Everything we do ...
Him, Mommy, Granny,
And our new baby, too.

I like what daddy told me
Of how you healed the lame,
And that you don't have to have any wealth
Or fame.

He told me you were so awfully good,
And then he made me cry ...
He said they nailed you to a cross,
They wanted you to die.

And then he made me happy when he said
You came back again;
Daddy said Christmas is what we celebrate
Because on that day you were born.

So I hope I'm not too late
To wish you a Happy Birthday, Dear Jesus.

Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a future
bright with promise as we celebrate the Birth of our
Lord Jesus and look forward to His coming again
in all His glory!

That's really cute!

I especially like this one: Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

I always thought like "You better not shout.." song was more like a threat to kids you know?
