No new movie or play!

I think it's quite sad although this will give her more time to focus on her album!

Several months ago it was announced that Mariah would be starring in the Bill Kenwright stage production of Terence Rattigan’s The Sleeping Prince, which as a 1957 movie for Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier was known as The Prince And The Showgirl.

Mariah’s management confirmed her involvement with the project and it was said that rehearsals would begin this month, with Mariah eventually taking the stage in late February or early March in what was hoped to be an 18-week run. There were even reports that Mariah had been taking lessons in voice projection, dictation and in how to properly move about stage. She seemed serious about wanting to act in this play.

However, it was revealed today in The Guardian Unlimited Observer that the project has been postponed until further notice.

This announcement adds to the list of other Mariah projects which have recently been pushed back for months or indefinitely cancelled: "The Sweet Science," a film co-starring Laila Ali and Lou Diamond Phillips; a book of memoirs entitled "Through The Rain"; and the launch of Automatic Princess, a franchise which initially was to include a fashion accessories line, an animated cartoon series and a series of books

Sorry but i think Mariah should stick to singing instead of acting she cannot act.

Yeah I'd rather hear her sing too. Movies take too much time to make and I want a new cd every year and a half so.....

Whoa! A new CD every year and half! Do you want to make her go bonkers!? Mariah needs to take as long as she can to release a record. She deserves longer breaks in between. Mariah did the 1 and a half years to release a record thing for a decade. It wore her out. Mariah has way too many hit albums so she can relax ever more now than ever.


Mariah's acting can be better and it will be. But I personally loved her in "WiseGirls." She did very well. You know I was so afraid they were gonna kill her character off in the movie. I think I would of cried if she died in the movie.

I'm not talking bad about Mariah but most of the people i know work 6 to 7 days a week and not just every 1 and1/2 years.

^^ I'm sorry but working at McDonalds is much different than working in the music business so if you don't know, don't even try to make a comparison.

there are single parents out there who have to hold down 2 or 3 jobs at a time so that they can raise a family....which is much different than working in the music business...probably much tougher

but anyway, I didn't mean like for her to kill herself to make me happy but she seems like a creative person and like the creativity comes fast so it just seems logical to me that she should make an album every year and a half.

if she wouldn't tour she could probably do it even sooner
