Round 2
So round one is now over... the new matchups are all interesting ones... Flyers and Leafs, Flames and Wings, Sharks and Avalanche, Habs and Lightning.
Can't wait to see who makes it out. (GO FLAMES GO!) Thoughts on the matchups? |

wings are coming back! watch out flames
...it's gonna be a good series. i'm a lil more than surprised that 1) tampa made it THIS far into the playoffs (let alone at all) and that they blanked the habs last night.and on that note; GO WINGS! |

Tampa might make it past the Habs, but they'll never get past Philadelphia!
A Wings-Flyers finals would be great! Revenge will be sweet!

I'm all for Tampa!! The Bolts have played a great game so far this year and it would be nice to see them go further into the playoffs. Whatever happens, happens. I'm just glad to see them make it this far!

I'm no big fan of Cujo, but the only player in Game 6 who actually played like it was an important game was Curtis Joseph (and perhaps Draper and Lidstrom). Joseph was the only reason the Wings even had a shot of winning that game, but there's not much you can do when all the firepower and "veterans" of the team can't even score once in two entire games in a row. Surprisingly, goaltending was not even an issue this year, even when Legace was out there. The big names who are supposed to score weren't scoring, like Shanahan and Hull. I can forgive Datsyuk and Zetterberg because they're young players, but there's no excuse why the only veteran playing with any heart last night was freakin' Cujo... it's an embarassment. And after seeing what happened in that last game, who on earth would want to play goaltender for the Wings? |

i know, and i totally agree. i really do. our big guys just didn't step up to bat, and yzerman's being out didn't help on face-offs either (although we did hold our own). bad line changes and dump-ins didn't help us out any either. neither did the fact that they tried going for the 'pretty' plays, instead of just shooting at the net and hoping to get a bad bounce off of somebody...i think that my last post just came out of shock and a bit of anger for them not playing like they really wanted it. if they would have played the series like they played in the 3rd period and ot, there's no doubt that we would still be in it...although i don't take back the fact that i said that i hope cujo leaves. i really do not like that guy and i haven't since he came to detroit.

Colorado is gone too! *chuckle chuckle*
I'm rooting for the Bolts or the Sharks since all of my usual favorites have been eliminated. It will be exciting to see either team win, imo.
