Pop heart-throb Aaron Carter deeply regrets cheating on ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff - because he's still in love with her.

The I Want Candy singer, 16, began dating Lindsay Lohan while he was still with Duff, which ended their relationship.

The move prompted Duff and Lohan to become longtime foes, and more than anything, Carter would like to have the So Yesterday singer as his girlfriend once more.

He tells Star magazine, "I'm still madly in love with her. I'm not with her, but that's just how it is. I messed up.

"I cheated on her with her best friend, which was very stupid of me and I regret it to this day... I didn't mean to do it, it just happened."

"But I still speak with Hilary every once in a while."

i could seriously say something really mean about him..but since hes my friend im not going to ... i still cant believe he said that though ... i dont believe what he said in there is true at all JUST stating my opinion

ya know im really sorry you guys for talkin so much about him--he just really peeees me off and i have a really good reason to be...so just because he did me wrong doesnt mean i can just sit here and talk ... so im going to stop..and just keep my opinions to myself-- so plz dont be offended by what i said about him

arghh-- this puts me in a really awkward situation--- you guys... meet him--hang out with him...which might not be possible for you ..but if it is..you'll like him... as a friend...thats all i can say ..i mean you guys are fans i cant really say anything ..im sorry its hard to explain..i just come on here to see what the fans have to say...whats new...if i dont know already... and maybe put my opinion in there ... i can't say much guys....bleh!
