Mariah Carey The Remixes has sold 199,000 units since October 2003. It was at #1 on the Top Electronic Album Chart. It was also at #26 on the Top 200 billboard list

What a flop they should never have released it. It will be her only album never to go platinum.

Its also the only Mariah album that I have no time for.

I'm glad she released it because it was clear that she released it as a gift or "thank you" to her fans. It wasn't promoted or geared toward any audience, and it's not the type of album that people will flock to bc it's just a compilation of her remixes. I think there was only one new song on there if I'm not mistaking. Who's gonna buy that?

Not even all of her fans did when it was intended for them.

I think this figure only reflects the U.S. anyway. I heard it sold 500,000 worldwide....which isn't all that bad for an album with a bunch of old remixes.

...and considering the point in her career when it was released (a very low point) doesn't help either.

Anywho, I really enjoy The Remixes. Heartbreaker Remix, Honey So So Def remix, and TGIFY (Make it Last) are my JAMS...and of course it includes I Know What You Want, which is another one I love.

I think she released because she had to, it was on her Sony contract, so she just did it to finally get away from Sony. She didn't promoted it or anything, seems like she didn't care. And honestly, I didn't buy it, don't like most of the Hip-Hop remixes, besides is very difficult to find it here in my town. T4P and happy valentines day too.
