Where, exactly, are gas prices $2.20 per gallon? Around here, it's still very close to $3.00.
And I'm impressed by the fact that this analyst can pinpoint the expected increase to $.57 per gallon. Usually, an increase will be predicted in terms of "around" 50 to 60 cents. Does he know something we don't? |

Ah, yes, this is old news, from December. But gas wasn't $2.20 then, either.

gas is still well over 3 dollars here, and i wouldnt mind 60 cents of that going to an environmental regulation, i do mind it going into someones pocket.

It'll only go up 60 cents 'cause the companies will tax on a few extra cents. If it were a strictly environmental move, I'd be all for it. I'd be happy baying $3 a gallon, if the money wasn't going to the oil barrons.

Gas here is still $2.99 per gallon. And you know what, Id much rather pay $4 per gallon if it ment that the planet would be less violated by our over consumption. Its the only planet we have after all, better take care of it before we choke on our own dirty automotive waste.

We have other planets, we're just dragging our feet getting to them.
