Any ideas for me???????OT

Hi guys...Well me and my husband are thinking about travelling to America in December but we have no idea where to go..lol..
I mean we thought about Denver,but they told us that Denver is better during the summer...the same thing happens with Phoenix(because of the park and stuff)
I definitally don't want New York or LA...
So I was wondering if you guys could help me

I would love to go to Aspen..but it's really pricey at Xmas time...And here in Europe we just hear about big cities such as New York,Boston,Chicago,LA,Vegas...
So if you guys could give me some tips I'd really appreciate it!!!
I want to go to a medium/large city,with things to do,cozy during the winter and beautiful....

Im from Chicago and its beautfiul here. You get to see the big city,,,but its so clean and amazing.... its not like New York. I visited New York for the first time last year. I expected it to be like Chicago...but it was soooooooo dirty and smelly. My white shoes turned black in an hour, my contact lenses were foggy and dirty and had to be replaced,,,,NO JOKE!!! It was definetly alot of people walking the streets all night long...that was the cool part.

Chicago is a great city to visit during the winter time. Go down town and go shopping on the magnificant mile. Also go see the big christmas tree as well. it's beautiful.

I really liked the Chicago idea...It seems a lovely place..
Are there any beautiful cities nearby??????Small cities and worth visiting...And how far is Chicago from Vegas(by plane)?
I am also considering Lake Tahoe..Anyone know Lake Tahoe?Is it worth visiting or just skiing and that's it?And how far is Lake Tahoe from Vegas?

chicago by plane to vegas is like 3 1/2 hours. Vegas is somewhere to visit, but you can only go there for like 2 days then you get bored and you also get broke. YOu lose so much money there cause you are forced to spend it.... a weekend there is enough.

Chicago is all you need. stay in the downtown area. its cold in the winter but its awesome. The shopping,,there is the Magnificent mile which is a long strip of shopping and just everything....there is Navy Pier,,,there is Millenium Park,,,there is just so much to see....museums,,,etc etc...

Now my top choice is Chicago...
I would like to ask you something...About the weather..
I've searched online and I've read that during the winter is kind hard to flight because of the snow..And they said something about a tourist that waited for 5 days to get on the plane,because the plane couldnt land because of the snow..
Can you please tell me if this is true????
I dont know if I made myself clear..

the snow isnt too bad in chicago... if your planning on coming before December,,,u might not even get heavy snow...so, im sure u will be okay with flights... if someone really waited 5 days for a flight,,,that must have been an odd situation that happened to them.... that can happen anywhere....its nice to come to chicago by like november/december...to see all the holiday lights.....but its kinda chilli. its also nice now by october....its not too cold..
