I had hoped it was an internet rumor.

Had the pleasure of meeting Danny a couple of times. He was a great man.
God Bless Danny and his family.

What is there to say? He was always there for Bruce. He was with him the longest, with him when I first saw them before there was E Street and will always be in my memory.
Joe Benson on KLOS announced this on air also. |

Very sad day on E Street and elsewhere. I was holding out hope that Danny would be well in time to make a triumphant return for the shows at Giants Stadium.
Someday we will beat cancer, and we make gains every day, but it sucks that it claimed another victim. I guess it was quite fitting that I was downloading the song Hallelejuh when I received the news from brucegroupie. |

I am deeply saddened. Danny has been with Bruce as long as I have known the "E. Street Band" (and will always be). God Bless him!

i wonder if when he knelt down after playing terry's song, he was thinking about danny?
such a sad, sad day. i was truly hoping to hear him play seaside bar song again. his organ playing brought joy to lots of people. prayers to him and to his immediate and e street family.

just played the saddest song I have in my CD collection seems quite appropriate tonight by Warren Zevon - Keep me in your heart for a while....
Shadows are fallin' and I'm runnin' out of breath keep me in your heart for awhile If I leave you it doesn't mean I love you any less keep me in your heart for a while When you get up in the mornin' and you see that crazy sun keep me in your heart for awhile There's a train leavin' nightly called when all is said and done keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sometimes when you're doin' simple things around the house maybe you'll think of me and smile you know I'm tied to you like the buttons on your blouse keep me in your heart for awhile Hold me in your thoughts take me to your dreams touch me as I fall into view and when the winter comes keep the fires lit and I'll be right next to you Engine driver's headed north to Pleasant Street keep me in your heart for awhile these wheels keep turnin but they're runnin out of steam keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lo Keep me in your heart for awhile Keep me in your heart for awhile...
