It does seem that it was probably hacked because nothing comes up at all. If Chris had taken it down, I think he would've given some kind of warning.

It wasn't hacked. Hackers usually leave messages. It looks more of a server issue. Whenever my site doesn't load I get the same thing.

Feel free to let people know that DLS has closed. Due to other commitments, the site had been made so that I had pretty much no involvement in it. It had only recently come to my attention that the site wasn't leading anywhere and upon looking into the problem, I realized that the issue is with the site in which I purchased the address from. Without boring you with unnecessary details, the process I would need to take in order to get my domain to work again is pretty much impossible due to really bad customer service and because the place I bought it at is practically no longer existent. So when you contact them it takes a very long time to hear back and when they do get back to you, they send you to places on their website that they don't realize no longer work. It sucks.

So anyways, due to the fact that I no longer maintain DLS anyways, and also due to the fact that there are a lot of amazing Backstreet Boys sites out there, and lastly, due to this little domain issue, I have chosen to move on.

Thanks to all that worked on the site and thanks to all who visited.

Just wanna say thanks to those that supported the site... I truly enjoyed running the site when it was about trying to keep everyone informed about what they were up to during that long hiatus... to me that was always it's purpose. When they came back, we tried to keep up with everything, and then we got hacked and that kinda ruined it for me... it was never the same... either way, a lot of you were there from day one... a lot of you still came by even now when it was just a community and for that I just wanna say thanks.

To those that helped run the site... HUGE thanks!

I also just want to clarify that I can't currently make the domain lead to the actual website. This is why this had to be announced elsewhere... and why there was no warning... obviously if the domain was working properly, the site would either still be open or this announcement would be there.

Either way, again, thanks and bless.

It was a great site. Being mod at DLS made me want to own my own site. I liked sharing the latest news, media, pics. I liked helping fans out. It was fun to do that at DLS. It made me want to have my own site. I learned a few things while being mod it helped. So thanks for that oppertunity Chris. I met some great people at DLS too. It was a really fun place to be at.

Does anyone know of any other BSB sites that have a really good media section?I got a new iPod and lost most of my BSB songs etc?Also if possible the media would need to be mp3 and not zip files.Thanks

Yeah but to be honest I wouldn't go there. No one is mod and no is admin. The girl who owned that forum hasn't really been around anymore. She gave me the forums and made me an admin but when DLS came back I removed myself as admin. So no one can really manage it.

There are other forums out there that are as good as DLS.

NLY, IntoBackstreet, Backstreetforums at Backstreet Paradise etc.

I loved DLS. I was on there since like 2002.... before I chatted here and stuff. It was always so laid back and people were friendly, lol

I'll miss it, even though I hadn't been there in a while.
